We had one requirement for our centerpieces. They had to glow.
The "glow" was achieved by placing water beads and submersible LED lights inside the lighter color vases. The blue vases were too dark and the paint too thick to be noticeable, but we planned for that. We painted the larger ones brighter colors.
We ended up using different glass vases to make our idea come to life. We were a bit surprised that they not only came out better than we planned, but that they came out at all. If you plan on making these, use caution. Bees are attracted to the bright colors, and may end up getting stuck to the drying paint. Just sayin'.
A mix of textures provided the masculine elegance that we needed (most of the fun ones were milk white). Most of the vases came from thrift shops and were a bargain!
